(HTI: Sensor for Medical Application)

Humantechnologie ist eines der Zukunftsfelder des Landes Steiermark. In der Steiermark sind etwa 7.600 MitarbeiterInnen in 130 Betrieben und Institutionen in der Zukunftsbranche Humantechnologie tätig. Nach Prognosen der steirischen Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft wird sich bis 2015 die Anzahl der Beschäftigten in diesem Bereich auf 12.000 erhöhen und die Wertschöpfung verdoppeln.

Durch die Kombination der vorhandenen Expertisen im Bereich Sensorik, Fluidik, Nanostrukturierung, Nanomedizin und Medizin will man den medizinischen Notwendigkeiten begegnen und entsprechende Lösungen in Form von technologischen Produkten bereitstellen.
